Hello,

My two single piggies are being currently bonded with their potential new friends. Fingers crossed it'll work out as I've been on search for 5 months now:)
Anyways, of all ends well we will bring them home tomorrow.
One question I have is:
I planned to have mixed couple and the sow only couple in the two neighbouring cages, but then I thought with sudden fear that the boar from mixed couple may nohave be ok surrounded by all these girls ? I know he will have his own sowife and the other girls will be in the separate cage next door, but I'm now worried that that will ruin the newly set dynamics ?
We have another cage on the table, above the bottom two cages. That cage currently is housing another happy couple, which is a mixed couple as well. Would it be better if the mixed couples lived next door and then I could move the two girls upstairs ?
What are your thoughts lovely people ?
I attach pictures of our set up. So I'm thinking to put the girls at the top X

The pic at the top sill shows only 2x3 size cages st the ground floor but now they're bigger 2x4:

Single boars are not a problem as neighbours to sows. I have mixed pairs/groups and sows all living next to each other, all current 8 pairs/groups of them! Even a single full boar can live next to sows (obviously no mixing!).

The problem starts with boar only pairs, as sow pheromones can influence their interaction and cause trouble. They should be kept out of sight and reach of female pheromones.

Great that's what I thought but it never hurts to check ! Thank you so much :)
