Hi I'm lesleyann does anyone know if its ok to use half a pippet on 5 week babies

Do you mean the ivermectin spot on Xeno mini-50? Or the 450?
I can't advise personally as mine are all adults - perhaps a vet appointment would be best?!

Have they been seen by a vet for diagnosis?
The vet would tell you what dosage is safe based on a piggy’s weight, plus give you the right course length (one dose of ivermectin isn’t enough for a confirmed case of mites)

Not yet but will do just wondered if half a dose would stop anything in its tracks and not be to strong for them

Na the beaphar anti p spot on

Do you suspect they actually have mites?
Please don’t treat them with anything without seeing a vet. You could wipe the scene and make diagnosis harder.
Their age aside, pet shop products such as the beaphar spot on aren’t usually strong enough to deal with active mites cases so aren’t recommended to be used anyway. Treatment is based on the piggy’s weight and with the correct strength Xeno product, and needs to be given as a full course.
We also don’t recommend the use of any preventative treatments - if they don’t actually have mites, then they don’t need treating. Only treat on the advice of a vet after diagnosis.
