Hi everyone,

I have literally fallen in love with a boar that came into work and is now up for adoption. He's a single boar, and I'm going to take mine into work so they can meet on neutral territory (I think that's the right thing to do?)

They haven't met yet, however, if they get on well I am definitely going to adopt him. However, I don't have much more room to expand my single boars C&C (I have 2 C&C's in my room)... Could someone tell me what the minimum size is for 2? I've been told it's 2x3 which is fine, however if it's 2x4 then I don't think I have the room.

Thanks in advance :)

PS - this is him, lovely Boycie :)image.webp

Oh no, I definitely don't have room for that. What a let down. amHes gorgeous. Anyone local that wants him? Hahahahaha
For 2 boars? 2x5 I'm afraid :/ They say to go one bigger for boars, so for girls it would be a 2x4. A 2x3 is usually for solo guinea's. I have 7 boars, 3 pairs in 2x5's and a solo in a 2x5, I also have 3 sows in a 2x5.

Cage Size Guide

He's a gorgeous looking boy :D

Are you able to extend one of the cages then build another on top so you could possibly have 2 2x5?

He is beautiful, it would be such a shame for you not to have him, shoehorn him in somewhere!

aw he's beautiful  do you perhaps have space to attach a run to the c&c cage? you could use extra grids and cable tie them then clip them to the cage. easy to fold up and down then to better access the cage :)

I used to have two boars, they need as much space as they can get  I hope that you can have him, he's adorable.

Well, I don't know if this a bit naughty, but I actually just let them have the run of my room. It's all Guinea pig proofed and they're ever so happy running around. I do supervise them, but I'm in my room a lot so they still get hours!

great for them if you have the space :)

maybe have a fold up run for them when you're not there then which would mean the cage size wouldn't be a problem, and then fold it down and let them have the run of the room when you are there to supervise. :) it's easier if the cage is low down on the floor though but even a little ramp down may work if the cage is higher.

hope you can work something out anyway so you can offer this little piggy a new home - he looks like he has such a lovely nature

He is he is so cuddly! I fell in love with him I can't believe someone gave him up. The cages are on the floor :)
