Junior Guinea Pig
It is just a week since we got our little rescue boar, Mikey, and I think he is starting to settle.
This morning he let me pick him up rather than playing hide-and-seek. Then he was so pleased to be out on the grass that we saw his first popcorn. The funny thing is that he was rumbling at the same time - I haven't seen that before. I'm guessing it was a bit of the joys of spring mixed with territorial stuff.
He was nose touching with our girls in the next door run and then tried to pull off some of the netting to get to them. I'm not sure what would happen if he did - he is half their size ! Anyway, he is going to have to wait another 5 weeks.
He is also getting much more communicative - big purrs when he is happy and big rumbles when he isn't and a lot of little noises in between. I think he is going to be a small pig with a big personality - we probably should have called him Napoleon.
