Mezanine floors for C&C cages

Hi all

What is the usual way to add an extra floor into a C&C cage? Do you use more grids or can you put 'rafters' of some type and then put fleece over it?

We used grids but it is only 2x1 in size, not sure how stable the middle would have been if it was bigger, it may have sagged.

It is usually grids underneath I think :S
You can use a grid or some kind of pole attached with cable ties to support any sagging

You can use wood to support the grids, like this:

I have a 2x1 hay loft and have cable ties the grids. It does sag slightly when they are both up there but not much. I may add some wooden batons underneath at some stage.

I made a correx tray for the top and just cut a section out for the ramp

(no toys as I have just cleaned them out!)
