hi!
both of my guinea pigs have ringworm currently, and the vet recommended bathing them with the special shampoo stuff atleast twice a week and letting it sit for five minutes before rinsing. so today i’ve given them their bath but i messed up!
i was running between my room to clean their cage and the bathroom, and i just completely forgot to let the shampoo sit. i just scrubbed it really well and then rinse them off. they’re both currently wrapped in a towel and shivering in my lap, so i don’t really want to go through the whole bathing process again today if not necessary.
should i give them another bath today or just wait until the other one this week? i feel so guilty and worried!

I would wait until the next bath.maybe you could ask for intrafungal medication,it works the best on ringworm.
Bathing is hardwork.
I hope it clears soon .
Just wondered have you got F10 to clean the cage?it gets rid of all the fungal spores that are in the cage.
Hope fully someone will link the ringworm guide.🙂

hi!
i’ve read the guide and am looking into F10 now. i had been using bleach disinfectant wipes along with a wipe down with a rag soaked in hot water. but i’m definitely going to order the F10!
does this one look safe?

yea that’s the one
thanks :)
does anyone know how often i should be shampooing my carpet also? my dirty laundry goes in a carpeted corner and i’ve just been using old shirts for giving them their meds and then throwing them in with the rest of my laundry and washing it all at once. i figured i’d shampoo once their infections are gone but idk if i should do it more often?
