Menthol Hay bits?

Hello,

I have djust got my two first Guinea Pigs. I got them from a rabbit and guinea pig breeder. He recommended that I line their cage with what he called menthol hay (this is what he keeps all his on). It is like cut up hay bits that smell of, well, menthol!

The Piggies seem happy and healthy on it.

Anyone any ideas?

Menthol...would that include eucalyptus? I wouldn't use it normal hay or megazorb is fine but nothing that 'smells'

No, don't use it.

i was just given a bag of lavender shavings and i wont use it. Anything that has a strong smell will just be even stronger to the piggies. x
