Wow, its gone so quick, only felt like yesterday i was dreaming about going melbounrne and maybe living there, and now I'm going very soon. 4 and a half months, i really cant wait. when i get there, my dad will be looking for a job, if he gets one we will be staying. (of course comnig back to england to sell up some stuff) and moving out. i have heard melbourne is a wicked place, has any ever been there or live there?

thanks natnat x

Ive been to Sydney once but never to melbourne... Ive heard its a great place but! :)
Are you excited? Thats awesome news nat :)

Years and years ago. I actually stopped on the Frankston/Cranbourne Road, which, when you get there, you will realise how close it is to Melbourne. I loved it - apart from the bugs, flies and spiders oh and the snakes. Found some fab beaches - go to penguin island and see them coming into shore at night its brilliant. I remember it well - in those days I could wear a bikini ;D

My brothers moved to Aus about 11 years ago now. He initially moved to Mildura (which is more inland) but he found it far too hot and he and his wife and kiddies moved to Tasmania and he prefers the climate.

Lucky you - have you room for a small one (cough cough), ok, large one in your suitcase?

Yer it does get really hot over here... but its great weather to go to the beach and get a neat tan ;D

I love Perth, WA, where my mother's side of the family live. I have some family on my dad's side in Melbourne and Sydney. Lovely climate, beautiful beaches but yes, shame about the spiders.

Err Nat i live in Melbourne Australia :o :o
Where you going to live, what suburb :)
What type of work does dad want to get?
PM me if you want :)

haha I live near perth :)

well my great uncle and aun live in Canterbury or something i think its on the east side, only 15 mins from the beach :D

My husbands folks live in Canterbury but it's more than 15 mins to the beach more like 1/2 hour. Canterbury is a an older suburb with beautiful homes and lots of trees, there's some newer more modern homes there now. I used to go to high school there :)
I live about 1/2 hour from Canterbury :)

wow. :o it only takes me 15 minutes to get onto the other side of coventry!

Oh i better explain for us to go 1/2 hour is nothing it's really only 15+ or so kilometers, we've got highways and main roads so travelling to and from suburbs and the city is not that bad. We live about an hours travel out of the city of Melbourne, but that's nothing to travel :) and if you're near a main road and suburb there's always plenty of public transport.
I've pm'd you check out some melbourne web sites for an idea of what it's like O0

oh god... I hate spiders too :( unfortunatly I have no escape ;D

That sucks you have to leave your petsbehind nat :(
Why cant you bring them?

Aww, shame you gotta leave your pets behind..is that because it would be too expensive to get them over there?
