I don't normally think it is wise to get an animal as a gift but in this case, we were already looking for a companion for our lone guinea pig, Gaia.

So meet Nyx! My husband didn't tell me we were getting her today, but I'm so glad we did. She's so sweet and adorable.

She's a abyssinian, right? Is any type of brush okay for grooming or do I need a specific type?

Thank you! I put them in a neutral space and they are sniffing each other right now.

Both of my guinea pigs have a Y shaped genital area. So that is confirming they are both female, correct?

You always check for the presence/absence of the penis ridge or presence/absence of the fleshy seal just inside the slit. The shape of the outside area can be ambiguous so use the above two to confirm.
