We were asked to take in a mouse yesterday who had been dumped by some students in their garden, the neighbour took him in but didn't want to keep him, so he is coming to live with us. He is a lovely colour and we have named him Murray because he is the colour of Murray mints.

This is his cage, the neighbour got his cage from the students when he confronted them.

We will look at getting him something bigger at the weekend!

oh no poor Murray, how cruel, god i hate some people...thank god he was rescued, hes lovely x x)

That's awful. Poor boy. Good on the neighbour for taking him in and for confronting the students! I'm glad you can offer him a forever home.

Murray's a cutie. :)

Hes such a lovely colouring. Dont think ive seen one like him before. Hes gorgeous :)

We went and bought Murray a Mikey Max cage today, not as big as I would have liked but the biggest we could find locally. I have to admit I'm horrified at the size of cages sold for small animal- mind you I'm horrified at the space allocated to most animals.

Anyway, we've been delighted to hear his lttle wheel sqeaking away most of the evening. We also bought him a small hamster igloo, a wooden tunnel and a cardboard tunnel. The cage gives him about 4 times the space ( including the shelf) compared to his other cage. I've bought a £4 fleece from Yesco and plan to mkae some hammocks for him and the rats ( although I'm not sure if the rats will use them as one is very poorly.)

Murray is so gorgeous, it's wonderful that you have taken him in.
