My little girl has gotten these scabs on her nose and it loosing hair. My other guinea pig does not have these signs and I’m needing to know what it could be and how to treat it please, here’s the picture of her, this was the only way I knew how to put it in, please help. https://pin.it/4FhviuR

you need to take your piggy to a vet for proper diagnosis and the correct prescribed treatment.
we don’t ever recommend any home treatments here due to the fact you dont know what is wrong plus any home treatments can either be ineffective or make things so much worse.

it would be better if you could use the ‘attach files’ button to attach a picture directly onto this site rather than via a third party site

Have you taken your Piggy to the vet? That's the only way to find out what is wrong and get a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Most people on The Forum have a vet fund where they put money away each month so they always have a it there for those unexpected vet trips that always occur when money is tight at the end of the month near pay day. If you don't have a vet fund, it may be a good idea to start one.

Thank you all so much, she does have a vet appointment today so hopefully everything gets better!

You may find that your piggy has got ringworm (see the green link in my last post) but you can reclaim any vet fees and treatment cost if they are backed up by a vet diagnosis. All the best!

She has ring worms, it could have been contracted from all my siblings holding them or I was using some paper bedding I had left over from a bag I was using with my old guinea pig. I’m taking precautions and getting her meds, if anyone has any tips please feel free to let me know. I appreciate everyone’s help

Have a read of the guide that was linked above, again. Be strict with hygiene and get a pet safe disinfectant (F10) to clean the cage with. Any cardboard needs to be thrown away. Wooden items can be soaked in the disinfectant. Fleece needs to bd washed at a high trmp and cage cleaned with disinfectant. What meds did the vet give you?

Your siblings holding them won’t give her here.

Their these drops I put on her nose and spread around with a cutip and I do it twice a day.

Tresaderm. 2 drops and spread it around her nose twice a day. Can y’all give me some tips to know it’s getting better and not worst or how to tell it’s completely went away?

This is our ringworm guide. It will take weeks before it starts to get better.
You need to be very thorough with hygiene because the spores can live in the environment for a very long time. Id suggest you get some F10 to disinfect all the cage, hides etc, throw away anything you can’t wash. Hot wash any fleece bedding.
Information is in the guide below

Ringworm: Hygiene And Pictures

I hear people saying that even when treatment is effective it usually looks worse before it looks better - which is probably no help at all! Have a good read of the guides - and take photos for your own benefit so you can compare day by day and see when her hair is growing back.
