McMac in his C&C cage :D

His new C&C cage which is a 1.5x4. I had to overlap the end width cubes in order to make it fit on the counter top :/ But it is still much bigger then what he was used to :)
Got him a new little igloo and a nice food area :) I am using a shower curtain until my correx arrives

Yeah I am so happy for him :D It was a bit awkward trying to fit the cage around that plug socket and make sure it didn't over hang too much but I am happy with it for now :)
 
He is gorgeous and I think the cage is excellent x(much better than mine!)
 
Awww what a gorgeous colour he is, love him xoxo he seems love exploring his new cage, great cage for him -c Just 1 thing I have to mention.. I hope I don't sound like someone too naggy... but I'm a little worried with some of the items on the shelf above his cage.. just be careful nothing falls in :{ . lol
 
Thankyou :) Yeah I had never seen his a guinea pig with that colour until I got him
And I know about the whole shelf thing, I worry about it myself but I have never had anything fall down into his cage since he has lived there thankfully
The rest of the family aren't very organised with the tools so I have to shout at them to keep it clean :x
 
Just curious, but how much did you pay for a cage that size? I really need to get my guinea pigs a bigger cage (especially because one of the females suddenly gave birth to two babies).
 
I got 20 grids for around £30 from the internet :) I did a lot of comparing with the amount of grids compared to the price and finally decided on these Safco grids

They come with 22 connectors and a bag of these little extra plastic hook thingies that are actually quite good. I used them to hold the 2 end overlapping cubes together and they are really sturdy :)

have to say I also was a bit worried about the saw on the wall behind :...would only take someone to knock that and its falling into the cage
 
Yeah there is lots of stuff that can fall in but nothing has and I always check to make sure so it's not too bad
The saws are on hooks on the wall and no one is gonna bump them off on the wall there
