I have three small girls in a 5x2 and I want to extend! (It's slow work persuading the OH!) I certainly wouldn't have more than 3 in one.
What about 2 and like 3 babies or something?
I have 2 sows in a 5 x2. I would say 3 would be the most.

I had 3 in a 5x2 and that's probably the max I'd want to go to. It's surprising how they fill the space!

Only temporarily, I wouldn't keep 5 pigs in a space that small, any boy babies would need to be moved at 3 weeks old anyway.
Babies don't stay small for long and need extra space to run around
I tend to agree with the others.
I had 3 in my 5 x 2 with a 1 x 2 loft, and I felt that it was pretty full, and ended up extending (and then adding another pig, which probably cancelled out at least half of the extension!).
