I've been holding my new girls just for a few moments when I do my evening cage-tidy... not every day but about 3 times a week. I've not even taken them out of their enclosure because they freak out so I'm just kneeling on the floor with them. Today I got a few moments with Zara and didn't get nipped which is a first! Small steps indeed

I adopted Patsy in September and she never lets me hold her for long. Usually only the time it takes from moving her to the hutch into the run in the mornings and back to the hutch at night. Hates the weekly check and doesn't do cuddles. We had a breakthrough last week she let me cuddle her for around 5 minutes! So my patience is starting to pay off. She is beginning to feel at home here as she is being cheeky and slowly letting her personality show. It's lovely that she's starting to relax. She doesn't normally run off any more when I try to pick her up either. Slowly does it and take things at the pace the piggy is happy with.
