So a little while ago, it started off that all my pigs just stopped eating their pellets overnight. I changed their pellets, have given them 2 types of pellets and now that Bunny Dream basic has arrived, they have 3 choices, plus 3 choices of hay and appear to be eating better.
Mars however wouldn't eat a thing, he finally got down to Simon Maddox at the Cat & Rabbit Clinic after suspected teeth problems, his fronts looked a little long. Today we took the 2 hr trip and confirmed his teeth slightly overgrown but his rears were rubbing so after getting a trim, prescribed Metacam 0.2ml twice daily and continued syringe feeding, tonight he tried some vegetables!. Hoping we can get his weight back up having dropped 150grams, and he and his friend Bruno are currently residing indoors and enjoyed an afternoon in their playpen in my office with lots of admirers.
Back to Simon in 2 weeks for a review and to see if it's likely to be a recurring issue. Hoping not so.
