Hi can anyone help with identifying this? I just found this white mark on my guinea pigs ear, do I need to see a vet? Or shall I try and wipe it off? She is well and happy otherwise, I have seen them scratch sometimes but since I have only had them 3 weeks I don't know if occasional scratching is normal? Thank you!

I would get it checked out by the vet.

:agr: It could be the start of a fungal infection so you will need to have it checked out and treated properly. It’s always a good idea to have new piggies vet checked in any event

:agr: too. If it was one of mine I'd be straight down the vets checking it out.

Thanks, I took her to the vet and he thinks mites, got to go back in two weeks to see if the treatment has worked.

Just wondering if I should see a visible reduction in the white mark? I don’t see much difference yet though she seems happy.

1 day (and one round of treatment) isn’t enough of a time period to see any improvement.
