One of my boys Carlos has bumblefoot I believe, his heel is red and there are small yellow scabs on the skin, but it isn’t really swollen just looks irritated. He still has the zoomies and continues to wake me up at 6 am from running at the speed of light 😂 Probably started up a week ago while I was on vacation and had nobody to manage the fleece while I was away, but I have made a vet appointment but they only had a spot open for next week so there is room for his foot to worsen by the time I can take him.

Fleece is being managed and cleaned extra meticulously now, took away his hay box so he can’t sit in it, but was wondering if there is any tips y’all have for managing this until the vet can have a go at him. I will be soaking him in warm salt baths but was curious if there is anything else I can do for him?

I had an older piggy with bumblefoot. Bathing your boy possibly isn't the best idea, softened skin can be more prone to small injuries that might allow in germs. The best thing is to regularly wipe the affected foot with water or saline to clean it, then dry it.

My vet prescribed barrier cream (F10 or Flamazine) as well as antibiotics. I also washed the feet occasionally to remove poop, and wiped with CLX wipes (antibacterial) twice daily before applying the cream.

If your vet confirns bumblefoot, he will probably put your boy on antibiotics and give you a treatment plan.
My vet is a firm believer in foot soaks, mostly with mallow tea, but a warm salt bath will also work.
I would have a close look on the paw till the vet's appointment and keep everything very clean. You could also use a cream like Bepanthen that soothes the skin a bit.
If you feel that it gets worse, I would start with the soaks.
