Males Fighting

My two 7 week old guinea pigs will bite each other if put together. I put them in two separate cages, but want to have them together. What should i do?

My 2 live in a 5X4 playhouse for that reason, any smaller and they niggle with each other! That said they have never hurt each other and seem happier together than apart! If I have them both on my lap I often have to sit with my hand between the pair!
