Need some advice as I am worried about my two male piggies. Buddy is the eldest and has always been the dominant male. Jasper is young and has just started to constantly try and "hump" Buddy - he has never done this before and they have been together for about 9 months. Buddy seems to be losing weight ( he is nearly 5 yrs old) and he seems to be getting lazier and slower. Could it be that the dynamics have changed because Jasper knows that Buddy is getting old and not so well as he was? Not sure what to do - has anyone got any ideas please?

It sounds like (mild) dominance behaviour, and it could have to do with the changing dynamics. How old is Jasper? Boys hit the "big hormones" between 4-14 months old before they settle down again as adults.

Have you had Buddy checked at the vets re. dental (back teeth, not front teeth) problems, heart etc.?

My oldest boy does this and they dont live together due to a big fight last year but I put them together sometime an they get along ok but sweep always goes to hump sooty I think its normal hes just trying to be top pig but hes unlucky other than that he's just a horny haha. .. (he humps thin air) ive seen him do it haha . X
