Hay-a-holics

Have a male pig here atm and you know the way bits of hay get stuck up their you know whatsit. You just remove it gently no problem, but today I pulled out something that didn't look like hay I should of taken a pic as I am not sure how to describe it. It was about an inch long, tiny bit thicker than hay and whitish in colour. Was thinking worms but not sure it was rigid and anytime Ive seen a worm from a dog it's usually moving..sorry gross I know. Any idea what it is? Unless it was a piece of hay that was in there too long but didn't resemble hay.
Will be keeping an eye anyway.

That sounds odd ! I wouldnt know what it is but you could type in "worms in Guinea pigs/cavies" on google and see what shows up.

I think i read something on here recently like this and it mentioned penis plugs and rats but i wouldn't know how to put the link up for you sorry

This is excess spermatic wax which some boars secret more than others.Nothing to be worried about.Just gently remove it.Boars that secrete excessively should have the penis extruded and cleaned on a regular basis because they can get secretions stuck around the penis which is left could cause soreness.Clean it off with a makeup remover pad and olive oil.
Worms in gps are very rare and they would not be seen externaly.
