Hello so I have a super docile two year old male Silkie that had his best friend pass away due to a turned stomach. Well long story short he has never been alone and without a buddy so we got him a younger buddy.

The two of them chased met in neutral space then were put in the cage together. They chased each other for about 15 minutes and now are just chilling with each other completely calm and not running from each other nor us.

Is that normal for two males to take to each other that quickly or should we be worried about the older one being overly docile with the younger one?

Any other tips would be awesome!

No, There is nothing to be concerned about! They have obviously taken to each other and quickly established the situation.
It takes two weeks after bonding day for the relationship to fully settle so you may see some more dominance over the coming weeks, but otherwise everything sounds great!

Hello and welcome to the forum. There is a brilliant bonding guide but unfortunately my tech skills are too poor to link it for you.
Not all bondings are dramatic and it sounds like you found a good match for your boy. How old is the little one?

The panda bear looking one is the new boy, the rescue said he was probably just under a year old ❤️. I brought them some peppers and broccoli and after that they were cuddled up together in their hay fort.

I always worry when it comes to my silkie since Rufus is very very mellow and I worry that he will get bullied around 😅🤣 so I am glad to hear that it's okay!

It sounds like love at first sniff. I also have a very chilled boy but he won't take any nonsense from his boisterous companion so just enjoy them.
