I'm wanting to make Aladdin's cage bigger; it's currently just a tiny bit larger than a 2*5 c&c, raised on grids, on my bottom bunk. I'm thinking about either 1) putting a hutch behind the bed and cutting away part of the coroplast as an entry way; or 2) again, cutting away some of the coroplast but putting a pair of stacked pet shop cages on the ends.
However.....I'm a bit worried this will make it hard to clean out, and I'm not sure how he'll cope with ramps; they always look quite steep and narrow, but I've never used them before so I am not sure.
What are some of the pros and cons of either of these ideas, and can anyone think of any alternatives?
I will get pics later, it's not a great set up though so no hate please! :-/ (I need to redo the coroplast with support underneath preferably as it's bowed outwards).

Do you not want to put your C&C cage on the floor, then it's easier to clean. make sure it's not in a draft or in the sun. They are happy with ramps so long as they are not to steep. Also put a bit of carpet tile on the ramp so it's not to slippery, get a carpet tile from a D.I.Y store.

I have photos now :) Although it's worth noting these angles make it look unsupported and quite rickety; it's actually surprisingly sturdy like this and has supports underneath.
@Tiamolly123 it's really easy to clean as it is and I can't put it on the floor....carpet is a nice idea for ramps though. I assume carpet isn't likely to be chewed?

What's on the side of your bunkbed (next to the hay tray)? Any space to put a 1x2 or 2x2 cage there? You could put it on a stand that's the same height with the main cage, and connect with the main cage from there. (No ramp needed)

If you put a hutch in the back, it will be very hard to clean.
