making my girls a new house advice please

Hello,
Hi I'm hoping to make my guinea pigs a new home they are indoor guinea pigs i have a four bedroom house and i have a room with two red foot tortoices in i wa hoping to make the guinea pig cage the full length of one end of the room if i use the back wall and the side walls do i need to put the metal cage on these walls or just on the front ? is there a size too big for two? will the tortoices bother them?

Hello I'm afraid I can't advise on tortoises, I guess I'd say position the piggies where they can't have contact with them if you can.
There's no such thing as too big for piggies, the bigger the better, they'll love all the space to run around. The minimum for 2 is 4ft by 2ft.
I've had guinea pigs who liked to rip the wall paper off so just be warned they may do this or chew the skirting boards so you might want to put something against the walls. Have you heard of C&C cages, it sounds like it would suit your set up? This website tells you how to make them, it's American so if you're in the UK have a look in the housing section on our site for supplier contacts.
