Ive given up already theres not enough connectors mallethead is this where cable ties come in ? Need to get it finished by friday and i doubt its going to happen for me! need some advice if anyone would be as kind as to help ! xxxxx
 
Oh no you can't surrender! Think of the piggies! Cable ties are easy enough to pick up and will really help.
 
yes they will, you put about 30 in place then think...no...i want it like that and have to remove them all and start again...i love cable ties
 
ive got cable ties but ive started building it in the wrong room and i doubt it would fit out the door and up the stairs rolleyes I'm so impatient but what i have so far is pretty good :)) Dont worry C the piggies shall have a castle by Friday even if it kills me! Do I put the cable ties at the top to the connectors act as "feet" ? x
 
how many connectors have you got?
 
i just used connnectors on my hayloft and on the corners the rest i used cables ties :)
 
i must say I'm not any firther forward .... ive been sat looking at t for the past hour .... and i dont even know why I'm stressing because its not going to be "elaborate" just now oh the stress ! Harry and toffee better not want one as I just couldnt deal with making 2 :)) i cant even deal with this making 1! so plan is use connectors for feet and cable ties for tops? or am i just going to get it wrong? EEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKK!! :red
 
ok how big a cage are you trying to make? i found if you lay all the grids out on the floor where you want them first its easier to re-arrange them :)
 
I'm making a 2x7? just your bog standard rectangle shape untill i am brave enough to make it more decorative... Ive got ideas for the decor down to a t but the actual building of its stressful putting it together has been easy-ish so far its jsut the connectors and the lack of them! x

thats ok :) its what i did, and used the rest of the connectors on the hayloft :) can we have pictures once its complete?
 
of course you can ! I'm in the process of thinking where to move Max the bun his hutch is stupidly small so I wouldnt put him out the backdoor (he only uses it for eating pooping and chilling) I'm going to start tonight once ive moved hoovered and planned everything out....I think OH wants to build it but I'm not letting him ! (he thinks I'm incapable you see !) only need to get puppy pads and fleece to top it all off Ive got plenty of food dishes hay racks and I'm going to use boxes and cardboard tubes for hideys I think thats everything? Oh and I will have some new piggys ") x
 
my OH said i could do it but as soon as i started he came in and stuck his nose in so i shut the dorr on him and did it myself :) and now everytime i decide to change it i wait til he's at work on a saturday :) i think that is everything :)

My Oh is a labourer in construction so he seems to think he can do everything better than me ! i might ask him to do the laminate as I'm not good at cutting it ! but thats it :)) x
 
good idea then he feels he is helping but you get to do the fun bit :)
 
He trys to make me feel like i need a big strong man to do diy for me then if i actually ask him to do something hes like can you not do it yourself? men honestly who would have them? x

yep something like that except i get told I'm a safety hazard which maybe i am but if he didnt get in the way i wouldnt be. I'm not sure why we have them lol x
