I want to make a c&c cage for my girls as their current wooden indoor hutch is falling apart. However, the space we have where it can go is an odd shape so I wanted to maximise room by making it L-shaped. How easy is it to bend the grids as the space wouldn't take full squares?

It would probably be easier to overlap the grids and cable tie them together as opposed to bending them. I personally found bending grids (to make a ramp for a loft) quite difficult. Good luck with building your new cage! :)

Other than overlapping, I didn't think about that when I bent my grids so I put half of it in a draw and then pulled down if you know what I mean? You have to be careful it doesn't split in the middle though

good luck,i built a two x two loft thursday,and i was cursing,i found it difficult,because I'm not very tall.

Hi & Welcome to our friendly forum, I would say put a grid in front of the other if you end up trying to fold it it could snap & injure you. The only thing you could use a hacksaw to do it. Then the cut bit could injure your piggies.

If you go on you tube I think there's videos for bending them, it can't be that hard as they recommend bending them for hay racks and ladders. Sure it will work fine.
