I'm thinking of doing a 2x4 or 2x5 c&C cage, but i need a 'roof' because i have a dog and a cat :| But yeah, I'm thinking i just Get two grids connect them normally, and then attach them to one side with cable ties, so its able to move up and down motion, and then just 'lock' it with keyring clip things, would this work? I tried to doa diagram, but yeah... didn't work!
Oh and also - the reason I'm making a C&C cage, and adding a roof - is because its much cheaper and i really do want to make one :)

Umm, I don't really know how you'd go about it...the only thing to do is experiment really, unless anyone else has experience of putting roofs on them ?/ It is nice having C&C because you can make it unique and how you want it :).

Cable ties can act like hinges - so for a 2x4 C&C with a hinged lid you would need 8 grids secured together with cable ties (to make a rectangular shape), then cable tie the lid along the back edge of the lid to the top back line of grids so it can lift up and down (just like a box with an open/shut lid)

I really hope my post makes sense? @)
