I’m concerned for my guinea pig. I think he has something wrong with one of his nipples. It’s really enlarged and black and almost looks like it has something small and black sticking out of the duct.
I would greatly appreciate any help, tips, suggestions etc as I am very concerned for him.
These always pick the awkward times to become poorly. He definitely needs to be seen though. If you can’t take him, do you have a family member who can take him to the vet?
Even male piggies can get mammary tumours, so this is something that really does need checking out by the vets. If you can’t take him yourself is there someone else who can take him for you?
My Bill had a mammary tumour removed last year, you really need to get this looked at quickly as some of these tumours are quite aggressive in males, my vet found another very tiny one too about the size of a pin head. Bill made a complete recovery with no post operative problems, he was as bright as a button x he sadly died in February but i don’t think it was related, it was very sudden overnight, a big shock to us as he was really well and had had no signs of illness.
