It ended up being too small :( I will take it apart and do it with bigger pieces of fleece and stuff

Anyway, I thought I might aswell let others know how I do it, incase they are having a bit of trouble

[*]This one is made without sides[/*]

Right, this is probably the easiest, doing it without sides. Getting the measurements right seems a bit tricky (it will come out smaller then you measured out)

So, get 2 pieces of fleece for your top and bottom. In mine you can see I have a plain piece and a printed piece. You want the 'top' fleece (printed) to go on the bottom of the pile. Then you want the 'bottom' fleece (the plain one) to go on top of that. Then you want to put your wadding/absorbent layer on top. Or you can leave it out if you want just fleece.

Pin it all together, try not to stretch it out to fit or anything, just have it nice and flat. Then get sewing. Make sure to try and do this on a nice big table or something. I had to do it in a small corner of my room on the floor and my back is killing me!

[*]Be sure to leave a small un-sewn gap on one side of the fleece. This will be so you can turn it inside out later[/*]

Right, everything sewn together you will see that you have a gap with all three pieces of fleece and gaps inbetween

You want to put your arms inbetween the plain fleece and the patterned fleece. Not the plain fleece and the wadding. Now pull everything through the hole as if you are turning it inside out.

You will then have a liner that has fleece on both sides and liner/wadding in the middle! If you decide to leave the liner out then it is exactly the same step by step

Sew up the hole and you are done!

My fleece liner came out small because I cut the fleece the same size as my correx base. I would say add on an inch or two to make sure you sew as close to the edge as you can.

Hope this helped!

Oh and I forgot to add! You can quilt the liner by sewing a few lines across it. This should help keep everything together on the inside :)

This is super helpful !
I'd love to do this, i just wish i had a sewing machine i think my arms would fall off by the end if i hand sew everything :')

Just wanted to say thank you for this as i made my own cage liner, not sure if it fits yet but having a guide was super helpful.

I had to sew by hand but it didn't really take that long once i got started.

But thanks again, I'm very chuffed with myself haha.

If you do not have a sewing machine, you can just go round the edges with a long running stitch and do a line or two across the middle to hold everything in place in the wash. Like this- - - - - make your stitches as long as you want maybe about 2 cms.
