Can someone let me know a bit more about what this means, I came into my bedroom to find my older boar lurching his whole body like he was going to be sick.

He was making this horrible wet dry heaving sound and this went on for a couple of seconds until he eventually did a chew of something he was eating and is now moving around like normal.

I have seen this happen to one of my boys ages ago and nothing came of it so I am just wondering if piggies can choke? Is there a chance something went down the wrong pipe as he is acting completely normal.
I have seen talks about hiccups but this was only consistent for a couple seconds and as I said he is completely fine now.

It sounds like something could have been stuck or gone done the wrong way? Or you have witnessed a heaving hiccup?

This is what I thought, is there anything I should look out for in future for signs it’s something more serious?

I haven’t heard of a heaving hiccup before so will definitely have to look into that.
Thanks!

Heaving hiccups are pretty rare but they happen; it's from swallowing too much air and can look rather alarming. They are generally one-offs. The name is a pretty adequate description.

It was quite an intense lurch so that may have been it.

Just didn’t want to pass it off as normal without double checking quickly.

At this point, all you can do is to keep an eye on him to see whether there are repeats. If there are please have him vet checked.
But from my own experiences, you are more likely to not witness it again.
