Lunchtime Cuddles

I'm loving the insight we get into other countries' culture through the forum. And the Swiss lifestyle certainly sounds exciting - proper breaks for children, time at home for a proper lunch, piggy cuddles as part of the curriculum. Not to mention Mountains, fresh clean air and lovely chocolate. I think I want to be Swiss.

It is wonderful, and I am personally a huge fan of the local education system here, but in reality it also makes life quite difficult for women who want to work full time outside of the home. The kids however really benefit from a proper lunch and down time in the middle of the day. In their minds full day school sounds like torture (unless it is full day ski school, and then it sounds fantastic!).
And although it is becoming less common, many husbands still also come home for the mid day meal, and as much as I love my DH I am not sure I would be thrilled to have him turn up for lunch at home every single day ;)

I wish I could go home at lunch time!
