Unfortunately, little Olaf seems to be having another issue. :(

I noticed a bit of a lump on his neck. It’s slightly under his chin, but it feels hard, but he didn’t react when I pressed on it. He did previously have some dental issues, which I read could contribute. Everything I can find points to it being an abscess; however, I wanted to get some opinions. I’m so worried about him. I’m going to try to take him in on Tuesday when my rabbit goes for her booster. It wouldn't be at his normal clinic, but this one does have good exotic vets.
(He is otherwise acting like his normal self.)

I tried to get a photo, but they aren’t the best. I really appreciate any input.

I’m sorry to hear this.
Any lump does need a hands on check by a vet.

Is he registered with this vet if it isn’t his usual
Clinic? I'm just thinking as it’s not his appointment then you may need to make a separate appointment. Best to call them tomorrow.

I hope he is ok.

He’s not yet registered there.
I was already planning on calling them tomorrow about bringing another rabbit in her carrier, not for an appointment but because the two are freshly bonded, and it wouldn’t be wise to separate them.

I’ve called his normal clinic about bringing in another piggy for an already existing appointment in the past, and they’re usually very flexible with those things. If my rabbit's vet doesn’t allow that, I’ll call his normal first thing Monday morning, as they aren’t open on Sundays.

He's still eating and acting the same. I'm really hoping he'll be okay.

For your piggy, make sure you switch from the routine weekly to daily weight checks so you can ensure he is definitely eating enough hay. If he has any pain in the area it is likely to show in his weight checks and reduced hay intake

(How long have the rabbits been bonded?
Separating may also not be wise so it really comes down to how things are going and how long they have been living together)

I will do that! Right now, he weighs about 2.2lbs. I felt the lump again after weighing him, and while it was hard, it had a tiny bit of give to it, and he didn’t flinch. He was rewarded for his bravery with a blueberry.
He spends a lot of time with his brother eating hay, but I’ll also put a separate pile and add his favorite forage to it to encourage him to eat if he’s not getting enough.

The rabbits have only been bonded for a few days, a week at most, so it's very new! But they were a very easy duo to bond and were incredibly nice to each other right from the start, luckily.

I’m sorry Olaf is poorly again. I’ve had a piggy with a tooth root abscess. It started out as a small pea size hard lump. Good luck at the vets. I hope he’s soon on the mend. ❤️

Olaf just got out of the vet. It was an abscess. They already drained it for him and prescribed Metacam and Baytril.
They did say one of his bottom incisors was loose, but the abscess could cause it.

He’s going back in a week for a follow up!

Hopefully he's on the mend now. At least he gets some yummy baytril and metacam, Sir George is jealous as he loves them.

I hope a Olaf is soon on the mend. My Pepper lost his incisor too. He manages fine with three.
