So I'm not sure if it's normal or not for them to have like what looks like fat on their neck? They both have it but the dominant one of course has more of it since shes bigger. But looking online about stuff like this is just really confusing when you're like me and dont know much at all about these since it was the most spontaneous adoption it was kinda now or never for them so no time for research or preparation lol

Dewlap? 😁
(I borrowed this image, but my piglets have little dewlaps, as well. 🤣)

Hello and welcome 😊

Where did you get your piggies from?

Unless they came from a rescue where they had a recent vet check, it's probably a good idea for you to take them to the vets for an all around check up on to be sure they are in good health to start with. They vet can also give you advice on what's normal/what's not, and show you how to do basic care like nail clipping, grooming (if required, depends on your guinea type) and checking their teeth etc.

Also, please can we see some pictures of your little guys/girls?

Piggies get lumps and sorry not normal.

These could all be abscesses, but there's really no way to know without assessment by an exotic vet. Take your babies in for wellness checks! It'll make sure you cover all of your bases and have healthy piggies before things potentially get much worse. Take it from me, please - I spontaneously adopted and one of my two girls ended up having TWO large abscesses, one of which was attached to a lymph node and needed surgical removal!
