Hi everyone
Just wondering if anyone can help following my boys trip to the vets today. My boar Fitz is approx 2yrs old, I’ve had him 6months & noticed he had a small lump behind his nipple which has gradually got bigger, the lump was not attached, I could sort of move it & Fitz didn’t seem bothered has been eating normally & running around. I took him to the vets today- they squeezed it and puss & some blood came out- Fitz didn’t seem to be in any pain and coped very well! The vet said the lump is pretty much gone (I tried to have a quick feel but didn’t want to fuss him anymore today after his ordeal!).
I’m just a bit worried it might come back as reading bits on here before I went made me think it may’ve been a mammary gland issue, has anyone else come across anything like this, should I look out & expect the lump to come back or should that be it?!
Vet has given a dose of metacam for 5 days.

Hello. I think I’d just wait and see if it comes back. Hopefully it won’t. Blood and puss doesn’t sound like a tumour. As there was puss did the vet not think there was infection? But then it may just be a cyst. Keep a close eye on it. If you’re worried I’d go back to the vet.
