I cleaned out the squeaks AGAIN today. And decided to make their loft area totally hay! They’re loving it!
Willamena is settling in okay, she’s a little quieter than I’d like. She doesn’t come out her house much other than to eat a bit of food or drink. It’s a big change for her I guess, she’s use to living outside an now she’s indoors on soft fleece.. must all be a bit overwhelming. Her old owners did say she seemed a bit quiet since her cage mate died. So hopefully once she meets the others that will perk her up and she will become more happy and active. I’m not sure how long to have her separate, I was going to keep her alone for a week or 2 so they can all meet through the bars and smell and talk to each other so they get to know each other slowly. I’m worried as the last female I tried to introduce went absolutely mad at my pigs and they all had a huge fight. Willamena already seems much much more non-dominant and calm than the last one so fingers crossed her temperament will fit in nicely with my herd.
anyway here are some photos from today
