My lovely old lady Holly, barometer of the piggy room, has been feeling very sorry for herself for a little while (please be assured - she is under regular veterinary review) and last weekend I was extremely worried about her. Today I walked into the piggy room to find this.

Most unexpected but she’s found the energy and enthusiasm to jump up onto the roof of the carrot cottage and have a go at it.

Go Holly!

Aww Holly glad to see you are feeling better!

What a beautiful little old lady you are Holly, hope you are feeling better soon x

She is now completely refusing to cooperate at all with top up feeding. After more than 5 years of her feisty behaviour, I do have to accept that she does usually seem to know what’s best, so I’m not going to battle with her any more this evening, particularly after finding her eating chunks off the carrot cottage roof. I’ll check her weight in the morning, and hope that we are reaching a plateau again.

Those eyes! 😍😍😍

Most of my piggies were not that pleased with support feeding. I only fight with them if we have to go through an acute phase, after an operation, after a dental or something like this.
Mine usually react better to pellets (soaked in water), extra veggies cut to small piece or oatmeal.
I'm always a bit surprised when a piggy of mine is really eager to be fed by syringe. ;)

It's great that Holly is feeling better! :D

So glad you're feeling better gorgeous Holly
I hope you keep it up - go from strength to strength & get back to seriously sassy as before

She's one of my forum favourites. I think her & Ivy were one of my first pairs of 'Rescue buddy' piggies, :luv:
I had a serious soft spot for her even then!

Just look at those adorable, doleful eyes 👀 :luv:
