Loud wheeking.

So my guinea pig who lost her friend two weeks ago has now started to wheek so loudly and often today. It’s like she’s really found her voice and you would think I had given her sugar with the zoomies she’s doing. We are in a process of getting her a friend which hopefully be next week providing the rescue centre agrees to us. Is it normal for a guinea pig to all of a sudden find their voice or is she unwell?

this is what I’m thinking. I hope we get a friend for her this week. She’s had a lot more attention last couple of weeks and is lapping it up.
