Hi! My guinea pig Ginny is 6 years old. She’s a very active, bright, squeaky girl! She’s always hungry of course and eats plenty of hay, pellets, and occasional veggie. (I try to avoid too many veggies since she’s older bc bloating) Ginny goes through one medium-small sized water bottle in about two days. Is this normal? It seems like a lot for her. Please let me know! Her poops and pee look all normal too.

Is this a normal amount for her, has she always drunk that amount? If she isn’t getting veggies, then she won’t be getting water from them so she may need more from the bottle.
Has she ever has a bloat episode? You don’t need to cut veggies down just because she is older if she doesn’t have a history of bloat problems. Veggies are a reasonably important part of the diet to provide a variety of nutrients.
If you are concerned, then it would be a good idea for you to see a vet .
Do you refresh the bottle every day?

I think it's relatively normal, maybe slightly more than usual! She hasn't had a bloat problem before, her sister Maple had severe bloat so I've maybe just been a little paranoid since then. I do try to refresh the bottle everyday, one day I had a big work day so I couldn't and thats when I noticed it was empty to my surprise. I'll start to reintroduce more veggies again and see where it goes but for now I'm not too worried! thank you
