My in laws woke up this morning to their cat, Roland vomiting blood and looking very poorly. They rushed him to the vets who examined him and the vet felt a mass in his stomach He was admitted for fluids, blood tests and scans.
They’ve just been to see the vet for the results and it very much looks like Roland has inoperable stomach cancer they’ve declined a biopsy as the outcome will be the same and the bill was already £960 (he’s sadly not insured) so they’ve brought him home with steroids and painkillers
Please send lots of healing vibes that his remaining time is comfortable and pain free
The timing couldn’t be worse as my in laws are going away for Christmas on Monday
Roland is a lovely cat and he’s only 5 We’re going to Nottingham to spend new year with the in laws, I just hope he is still around for us to say goodbye it’s all very sad x
