So if you saw my last thread about Steve's eye, he saw a vet and was given the OK. Infact it's yet again returned to normal.

However upon waking up the smorning for work (4am yay) and replenishing hay and offering a morning Vege, Steve isn't eating. Albeit I'm getting ready and have to leave within about ten minutes of getting up. He's going to food and nibbling it but not with his normal vigour.

I tried to look at his teeth but in my dreary state and him being stubborn I couldn't get a proper look. He looks fine. Fur normal, he isn't puffed up and his eyes/nose are clear. Breathing quiet. Still climbed up at the bars when I entered with the veg. He did headbutt my door last night during floortime when he popcorned a little too enthusiastically. He ate after that and appeared fine, but could it be a bit tender now?

I've actually got an interview thing after work today at a vets clinic so I might not be home till about 5. I'm just whittling so much. I've bough more syringes in case I need to syringe feed and I left all the food in there for him.

I guess I just need some encouraging words.

Oh Steve you silly boy.

Maybe Steve is just not an early morning piggy.
I am sure he will be fine and it sounds like you are keeping a close eye on him, so fingers crossed he has perked up buy the time you get home tonight.
Good luck with the interview.

Just check on him when you come home and make sure that you switch to weighing daily at the same time in the feeding process (like before or after the same meal) in order to monitor his actual food intake but cutting out the daily weight swings between a full/empty tummy and bladder. this will help you to know when and to which degree you need to step in with any support feed.

All the best! You are a very caring and good owner, so you are picking up on problems early - and are of course worried! These things always seem to happen on a very busy working day, an evening, a weekend or a bank holiday, or just before you are off on holiday... :(
