I've been looking for a larger cage since my groups have got larger. I saw this one:-

which is really good but I need 2 & would like to also go higher but they don't do one. I saw this one on the forum at the weekend:-

but is has a corner cut out. Does anyone know of a large square double cage suitable for piggies.

You can stack C&C cages.

Some ideas:

Yup C&C is probably the best bet for custom shaped cages :-) if you move to C&c you could join your current runs with the rabbits run to make a super run for their hutch for the summer too :-)

I've got over 80 c&c grids but while we have a cat I don't want an open topped run. my present run is 2400cm & 78cm of floor space shared by a group of 3 & a group of 4 with a divider in the middle to stop the 2 males getting to each other. Each end also has an upper level of 37cm x 78cm with ramp from lower area. So total floor space for each group is 9648 sq cm. If I used the 1m square cages each group would have a floor area without any ramp of 10000 sq cm & the double cage with corner cut out the total floor area from 2 levels would be 1640 sq cm. In a few years time I'll make a big c&c set up but need the piggies enclosed for now so at present it's looking like the double with corner cut out. I'll do a bit more searching today but I think these cages are on a limited offer so don't want to miss the boat!

You can put lids on c&c cages stew :-) on ebay they sell roof support bars for £12. If you have teh grids anyway might be worht a try :)

Read on another thread the corner ones are quite hard to clean out.You can do a completely enclosed c&c just make it so whole side drops down to clean out.

After the info regarding cleaning the one with the corner cut out. I think I'll have a go at building one from scratch. I would built a lower cage for 1 group & an upper cage for other group. It will be at least 6 x 2 grids but possibly 7 x 3. I'll do some measuring once I've finished work.

Good luck with it.They will love it and will have loads more space than the other one

My bf built all our cages from scratch. i don't think we can get the C&C cages here in Germany.

I built one with different levels it is so easy to make. I would suggest making bottom level 2 grids high if on floor just to help with cleaning as I have to climv in but upperr levels are easy aa you can just stick your head in
