Hi

I am looking at purchasing a new cage once my boar has been neutered ( I was told they were 2 sows, only to find later one was a boy!) Luckily my sow didn’t get pregnant and they are currently living above each other whilst I wait for my boar to reach 5 months old so he can have his op.

Anyway, my question is..which is more beneficial for their happiness? Living in a longer ‘roofed’ cage (ferplast plaza 160) or living in a shorter open top cage (Midwest)? I do not have the width space for a c&c as it will be too close to my dining table which hubby will find far too unhygienic!

Thank you all in advance

Do you have any other pets in the house?
Having an open top cage is fine as long as no predators about!
Obviously the larger the cage the better for your piggies as it will give them room to have separate areas if they want peace from each other!

I have a c and c cage which is open topped on some ikea tables. It is in a room that the dogs are not allowed into.

Bigger the better imo.
