Miffy is 3 and was adopted this year. She had a tumour in front of her windpipe removed; fast growing, large, necrotic cancer. It's quite likely she will develop secondary, untreatable cancer. At the moment she's strong, happy and always seems to have a smile on her face!

Vet has agreed to continuous metacam for pain and to reduce inflammation around any new tumours growing. What kind of dose is good for this scenario? Any other ideas to keep her comfortable, or things to consider?

I have had piggies on long term metacam for pain relief - my Holly is on Metacam twice daily for back pain/arthritic pain and is doing very well.
Our vets use dog metacam/loxicom for this sort of pain relief. The dosage depends upon the weight of the piggy, and the extent to which they are in discomfort. Your vets will prescribe on a sliding scale according to weight

She's a beautiful piggy. It sounds like you give her a loving home! Hope you were able to.work out dosing with the vet.
