Hi, haven't posted in ages but hoping I can get some help please.
Sadly one of our girls Frenchie unexpectedly died a couple of days ago. She had been fine and happy in the morning and then when I went to give them veggies later, she had passed 😢.
Our other girl lollipop is now on her own. She is 6 and a half and still healthy although seems sad, quiet and not very active since Frenchie passed. She is eating though.

We have made the decision that we don't want to get another piggy but I also don't want lollipop to be lonely. I would like to find a long term boarding option so that she will be around other piggy's and would even consider someone else adding her to their herd and still paying for her care and vet bills (if required). I just want her to be happy. Does anyone know of any where that may offer this in Hertfordshire?
Thank you

Sorry for your loss. I would love to be able to help you but I live too far away. It really breaks your heart when a piggie answers the call of the Rainbow Bridge. Sleep well Frenchie.

I am sorry for your loss and hope someone can help you out so that Lollipop can be happier again 💐

Aw that is so considerate of you.

Are you home a lot to be with your girl through the day? As she is six and a half maybe she would be better staying with you and getting lots of attention.

Unfortunately I am out during the day at work so not really able to give lots more attention. She isn't the cuddliest of piggies either so I don't know if that would make her any happier sadly 😔

I think if somewhere could be found she would prefer guinea friends 💗 we as humans are good enough to feed them and clean up after them but we just don't meet the required standard when it comes to companionship 🤣

Have you thought of fostering a rescue? Then you can hand back when Lollipop has gone
I did try looking at this option when we lost Sandy 2 years ago but nowhere locally seemed to offer it unfortunately. I will look again though as things may have changed in the last couple of years.

I think I will also need to google boarding places and see if there are any good options. I was just hoping someone here may have some recommendations.
