Hi Everyone. I'm a new member and I am looking for some advice about my boar Stanley.
I adopted him from p@h, he ended up.in the asorption section after he was picked on by other boys in his litter and he then became aggressive. When I got him they told me he needed to be kept alone because of this aggressive tendency but I remain worried that he is going to be lonely. I've had him over 6 months and he has no behavioural issues and has never showed any aggression to me. He seems active and happy.
Do you think he would benefit from a friend or is it likely to be near impossible for him to bond with another guinea?
Thank you in advance for any advice.

Some rescues do boar dating - there is a list of recommended rescues on here who might be able to help - it would help if you put in your location - then some members will be able to advise you where to go.You could also think about getting him neutered then try and pair him up with a single or a couple of sows.

I think it is highly likely that your boy could find a friend.
Just because he was not happy in the pet store where the conditions were probably less than ideal, does not mean he needs to be alone forever.
Hopefully you can find a local rescue that does boar dating and Stanley will find a friend.
