As soon as I brought my two boars home after adopting them in February from pets at home they never seemed to get on, they kept fighting and the smaller one was getting bitten and injured. The people in the shop gave them to me as a pair but what they didn't realise was they didn't get on! As soon as I got them home I saw that one was being bullied as half his ear was bitten of and he was wounded, so I separated them and they seemed much happier apart. I kept trying to re-introduce them (tried nearly every method in the book) but it was too late for them re-bond! They both now live separately and although they are happier separate than together, I cant help but feel they are both missing out by not having a compatible companion to socialise with. Sometimes, I can tell they both get bored and lonely!
I've made a decision that I want to try and re-introduce them to other males and find them both companions. Unfortunately, if I did this I would only be able to keep one pair, so this will be very emotional as I would have to say goodbye to one......this would be heartbreaking but I know in the long term this would be for the best for them both.

How do I go about doing what I mentioned above .The perfect scenerio would be to find some one in the same position as me who wants to try some guinea pig dating or would I have to ask a santuary to help me? Is there anyone who can give me some advice on how to go about this? Thanks

Hi! We cannot help you without having an idea on where you are roughly located.

Yes I know pets at home are terrible. Knowing what I know now I would never go anywhere like that again. Always a reputable sanctuary from now on.
I live in Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire (near Mansfield).
