I have had to seperate Flame from Cinder and Blaze.

1. He and Blaze were fighting badly, resulting in Blaze needing staples
2. Flame's growth rate decreased dramatically.

Now the boys are all in a seperated c&c cage with some room for expansion. the question is...

Flame is a very very timid piggy. He will live in his log cabin most of the time, and well was always the third piggy/wheel although he appeared to get on well with spice. He rarely even comes out for food, and water.

So I was wondering would lil flame be better of staying as a lone piggy or would a young boar be good for flame and give him some more confidence... I should mention he lives upstairs now from cinder and blaze and getting him the snip and a girlfriend would be out of the question if I want to keep Blaze and Cinder together

Sorry to here this, he sounds as if he is lonely. I am sure if you got him another male as a companion he would perk up. Maybe a baby boar do you think, would be the best option. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

i think you need a cheeky abby baby boar to liven him up and make him chuckle. i know we got our ridgeback and abby together, but our abby cheers the others up so much!

I would say he misses his mates. I would have left Flame and Blaze together as they got on and took Cinder out and either got Cinder 'done' so he could have a female friend or tried a young male with him but as you have already removed Flame I guess this is no longer an option.

You could try another piggy but if it didnt go well have you got room for 3 cages. One for Cinder and Blaze, one for Flame and one for the new one - if thing did not go to plan?

EDIT got confused and thought you meant Blaze not Spice.

So I correct my post you did the right thing taking him out. If you have room I would think about getting Flame 'done' and getting a female for him, less chance of rejection. He may still be upset over the death of Spice.

Poor little Flame has spent today not eating except when sitting next to me on the sofa.
He is so lonely I am actively searching for a friend.

How old is Flame?
Perhaps a little boar who is no threat to him would be the perfect companion?
