Lone Guinea Pig

Hello,

I am looking for advice please. Our guinea pig Bertie is currently living alone after his brother unexpectedly passed away 3 weeks ago. Whilst he seems very happy and content at the moment, we would like to get him a new friend.

The problem is that this isn't our first rodeo and we are wanting to end our guinea pig cycle after Bertie. With that in mind we are hoping to foster new friends for Bertie, rather than adopt.

Does anybody have any experience with fostering? Does anybody know of anybody/ any rescues in the North West with guinea pigs looking for a foster home? I have been in touch with quite a few already and none seem to want or need a foster home.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Someone nearer to you will likely be along soon but just wondered if you had seem the list before. There are quite a few members on here who run or are close with some rescues so hopefully you can find your Bernie a friend soon.

Try contacting The Potteries GP rescue in Kidsgrove or MerryPigs in Stafford.

They are accessible to the North West, if you’re in the southern end.

Hope you can find a suitable companion for Bertie
