So I'm now hearing a lot about foxes getting into gp hutches! :( my girl hutch only has 2 little things that sort of just move up and down and then it has a hook... Not really fox proof... Would buying a paddock for it help? image.webpCurrent locks :(

add bolts to the top and bottom of each door. and a padlock if you want aswell.

these type http://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Tower-Bolt-Black-100mm/p/188331?CAWELAID=120135120000013047&CAGPSPN=pla&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=&utm_campaign=Google Shopping - Doors & Windows&tmcampid=104&tmad=c&tmplaceref=&tmcustom=mkwid|t940FOU2_dc|pcrid|43364674852|&gclid=CJ3vw_aSt8ACFW3JtAodBFQAPw

when i had hutches, i added them to the top and bottom of every door, and on the run aswell. when i had a shed, i had a key lock, and three bolts top middle and bottom of the door.

foxes especially will easily turn those plastic catches and unhook those metal ones.

my friend was a bad advert for cheap hutches aswell. a fox couldn't get in the front of the hutch, so ripped off the back. :(

I'm just glad there are no foxes where I live. My garden is very secure so one couldn't get in even if it wanted to. ;)

We have added padlocks and keep the run over the hutch at night time too. It's such a worry; the piggies are so little! Looking forward to winter when we'll have to bring them in, despite the lack of space!

I'm the same, at least my girls will be coming in too!
So I'm looking forward to that, despite them being in the garage anyway

I like bolts as cats are great at slipping the other kinds open - my cat would anyway! lol!
Will be getting a padlock for my shed though to deter human invaders :)

Will you bring the hutch into the garage? I can't decide whether to buy a cage for the conservatory (or the correx setup) - though our house is tiny- or clear out the garage (HUGE job!) and put the hutch in there (near the window).

I'll PM you ;)
