Okidoke here goes,

My Marmite piggy is a loan boar, he was adopted from the P@H adoption bit and so i didn't get much background but this is what i know.

He originally live with boys (how many i don't know) they didn't get on so he was brought up for adoption, he was then adopted a day before i went and got him by someone who put him with 2 other boys and then was once again brought back as they didn't get on, then he wen't in quarantine and came to me blah blah blah ..

But basically i'm wanting to get him a friend, my local rescue has just had babies and so i'd introduce him with a 3/4 week old baby as i've read that's quite good,
My mum however, and me, are worried about his behaviour around other piggies and if he may just not get on at all, he will go crazy, wheeking and rumbling the second he smells other piggies, as i have two other boars, when there in the same room he won't shut up, and then he does eventually and the second they make a noise he goes off again, i just put it down to him being so lonely, he isn't quite as reactive to the sound of other piggies now since i've had fosters in the same house, that seems to have relaxed but the smell drives him crazy, should i be worried he'll be too much for a baby ? I've only ever seen him react to another piggie through bars and he was rumbling and chewing the bars,
His ears are very VERY chewed up clearly from other fights so it's clear he does get into fights but I'm just nervous that his behaviour isn't normal.

Whats everyones opinion ? :{

There is no harm to try boar dating with him. If it does not work out then you have not lost anything. I have heard of boars not getting on with any other boar and then finally meeting one they like so there is hope.

I'm just worried about the stress it may put him through, i guess all i can do is try !

I do think it is worth a try as if it works it will mean he no longer has to live alone. If you feel he is becoming too stressed you can always stop.

Yeah, i'll have to wait a few weeks till the babies are old enough but they are adorable haha, i have been in contact with the rescue and when i got the email to say some babies had arrived i was like :(|) As i was hoping some would be born so i could maybe try marmite i have some pictures of the babies that i was emailed ...

Rrrrrrhhhhh. cuteness overload! @)drool@)drool

Id give marmite a go at boar dating - sounds like he's had some horrible past experiences being put in with other boars but may be much better given a chance in neutral territory.

Plus that way you get to have a babeeeeeeeeee! drool
