loads of holes in my new house - Woodworm?

Ok so I just bought these two items from amazon and there are loads of holes in them which looks like woodworm - now I know its natural wood but not sure if it really should have all these holes in it.
The woodworm may have gone but how can I tell?
Has anyone else bought these and noticed holes it them, and what did you do about it?

Hmmm... I don't have them but they are nice! Can you post some pictures of the holes?

Well the holes are clearly woodworm but I'm wondering if there is anyway I can tell if its old woodworm or active woodworm. If its old then I'll happily use them but if its active then there is no way I'm putting them in with my piggies.
Can't be bothered with the hassle of having to send them back to the company - one of the down sides of internet shopping.
